Cookies
HamHub Server uses necessary cookies for authentication and security. We use privacy-friendly analytics (see below).
Right now we only use functional cookies (for example: sign-in and access). If we ever add analytics, we'll ask first.
admin_token
Purpose: admin authentication for /admin pages and /api/admin/* endpoints. Properties: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Retention: up to 7 days (or until logout).
beta_token
Purpose: legacy beta tester authentication (being phased out). Properties: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Retention: up to 7 days (or until logout).
session
Purpose: signed session cookie for authenticated users (magic link login). Properties: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Retention: up to 24 hours (or until logout).
access_tier
Purpose: stores your access level (STABLE, BETA, DAILY) to control which releases you can download. Properties: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Retention: up to 24 hours.
NEXT_LOCALE
Purpose: remembers your language preference (en, nl, de). Properties: Standard cookie. Retention: up to 1 year.
cookie_consent (optional)
Purpose: stores your cookie preferences (optional). Properties: HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax. Retention: up to 1 year.
We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.

Analytics
We use privacy-friendly analytics (Umami) to understand how visitors use our site. This helps us improve the experience.
What we collect
Page views, approximate location (country only), referring site, device type and browser. We do not create user profiles or track you across sites.
No advertising cookies
We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking scripts.
Do Not Track (DNT)
We respect your browser's Do Not Track setting. If DNT is enabled, we will not track your visit.
Data retention
Analytics data is retained for 6 months and then automatically deleted.
What data we collect
Bug reports may include: summary/description, email (if provided), app version, build number, track, OS, architecture, runtime ID, locale, and optional uploads (screenshots/logs).
Feature requests may include: summary/description, email (if provided), and limited app context fields (depending on the form).
Admin/beta sign-in uses essential cookies to maintain your authenticated session.
Uploads (screenshots/logs)
When you attach screenshots or logs, HamHub Server may upload those files to its configured storage provider (e.g., Cloudinary) and store the resulting URLs in the database for triage and support.
Tip: Don’t include secrets (API keys, passwords, license keys) in logs/screenshots.
Retention & deletion
We keep submitted reports/applications as long as needed for support and product improvement. If you want your submissions removed, email support@hamhub.nl with the details (ideally include the report ID).
